The Eastern Catholic Churches are much more than simply "Roman Catholicism with a different Mass." We are fully eastern Churches that have come into union with the Pope of Rome at various points in history, bringing with us our own theological, spiritual, and liturgical heritage. As author Fr. Radvansky has written, "We share the same faith and the same mysteries [as Rome], however, our way of expressing them follows the same tradition as the Orthodox Churches.” To learn more about us, click here.
In the Divine Liturgy - the Eucharistic service of the Byzantine rite - our Lord Jesus Christ gives himself to those who receive him and are rightly disposed, that he might truly dwell in us and we in him. The Divine Liturgy is thus the "source and the summit" of our spiritual life with God and we celebrate this great Mystery with much dignity and reverence.
